Charlevoix Township Fire Department:
Fire Protection Agreements were reviewed and discussed. Issues covered: aging equipment; cost of replacement equipment; proportionally equal contribution by all involved Townships/City and the possibility of the creation of a fire department authority. A spreadsheet will be created showing operating budget, capital equipment budget, usage per Township/City, etc., along with a draft contract, which will be reviewed with each Supervisor/City Manager prior to the May Board Meeting.
