Call To Order
Hart called the meeting to order at 7:00pm in the Charlevoix Township Hall; other members present: Ron Fratrick, Mary Ann Ehinger and Dan Ullrich.
Minutes of the December 15, 2021 Meeting were discussed. Ulrich moved that the minutes be approved, Fratrick seconded. A vote was taken and the motion carried unanimously.
Old Business
Discussed the ongoing review of the Master Plan.
New Business
- Tim Mcqueer, President of Beaver Island Boat Company, was present to discuss a proposed parking lot on a 3 acre parcel located across from the Airport, which is owned by Al Wojan. Site Planning Development is working on a site plan.
- Mr. Chung and Mr. Chang were present to discuss their proposal to build small cabins on property in the Charlevoix Country Club to be used as short term rentals. The matter was reviewed and discussed. The minimum square footage requirements along with the PUD allowance were discussed. The Board will need to review and clarify information contained in the PUD and review the matter further.
- Discussed the need for a replacement of Josh Glass on Planning Commission
Zoning Administrator
Zoning Administrator John Ferguson’s report was reviewed and discussed.
Larry Sullivan has copy of survey from the City and working on the getting a copy from Hayes Township. Census data is not yet available.
