Township Fire Department
Charlevoix Township Fire Department is comprised of 35 on-call volunteers. The department was established 40 years ago under the supervision of Township Supervisor Oscar Stroud. The fire department is currently led by Chief Dan Thorp, Assistant Chief David Christiansen, and department administrator Greg Seese. The department is responsible for fire protection for Charlevoix Township, Hayes Township, Marion Township, Norwood Township, portions of Eveline Township and the City of Charlevoix. The department has four locations. Charlevoix Township North and South, Hayes Township, and the City of Charlevoix.
